Israelis understand the solution to attacks is not the removal but the addition of guns
Recently Israel has been targeted and under constant terrorism attacks. More than 18 Israelis have been stabbed or shot in the attacks. Many of Israel’s politicians and leaders have stood up and encouraged the people to carry weapons and defend themselves from these attacks.
Education Minister Naftali Bennett encouraged Israelis to carry weapons and be alert. They are to prevent further attacks… in other words, eliminate the enemy.
“Against the cowardly Arab terrorism, a wave of Jewish courage is rising to defeat it,” he said, visiting a protest tent in front of the Prime Minister’s Residence, in which demonstrators called for more action against terrorism. Bennett said that “wherever there is a terrorist, citizens rise to defend their brothers and eliminate the enemy.“
It seems like Israel may be one of the last countries with it’s head screwed on straight. They are doing the exact opposite of America. America also has had terrorist attacks and many shootings lately at schools and public places, but instead our president and politicians call for a relinquishing of our Second Amendment. When things go horribly wrong, the U.S. calls for it’s people to give up their guns.
Israel had several instances from these past attacks where armed citizens on the scene shot and stopped the terrorist.
Two terrorists – Baha Aliyan, 22, and Bilal Ranem, 23, both from Jabel Mukaber – boarded an Egged bus on Olei HaGardom Street in East Talpiot, a neighborhood also known as Armon HaNetziv, one armed with a gun and the other with a knife. They started shooting and stabbing passengers while the bus kept moving, killing a man in his 60s and wounding 10 others.A security guard at the scene was able to overpower one of the terrorists and shoot him. The attacker then tried to get up and resume his attack, but the security guard shot him again.
Minutes later, a Palestinian rammed his car into a bus stop in an ultra-Orthodox Jewish neighbourhood of the city, police said. A surveillance video showed him getting out and hacking at pedestrians with a cleaver until he was shot dead by a passer-by. One of the Israelis he had attacked died and six others were wounded, police said.
Many can see that a rise in people being armed and prepared would stop these attacks or discourage them. Why can’t America understand that concept?
Defensive gun uses happens every day in the U.S. The number of defensive gun uses have actually been estimated to be in the several millions a year. Why is it that the media and our politicians sweep this fact under the rug and instead use lies to further the push for gun control? America needs to take notes, ask questions, and investigate for itself.
Now is the time, more than ever, to defend and carry.
