Common AR-15 Green Tip Ammunition Already Banned
When you take a look at the 2005 ATF Regulation Guide, you’ll see an exemption for AR-15 “green-tip” ammunition, which means it exempted from the definition of “armor piercing” and therefore is legal on the federal level.
When you look at the last page of the new, most recent ATF 2014 Regulation Guide, which was published in January, there is no longer an exemption for AR-15 “green-tip” ammunition.
The comment period about the proposed/already implemented ban on AR-15 “green-tip” ammunition closes, ATF ignores tens-of-thousands of comments because they were never going to consider them in the first place, and continues with the regulations outlined in the new 2014 Regulation Guide.
ATF changed the law unilaterally, didn’t tell anyone about it and has now put up a bogus comment period that means nothing. Because of these actions, ATF and the White House have not only failed to follow the Administrative Procedure Act, but has gone around Congress to violate the Second Amendment rights of Americans.
Well, I am speechless. I really don’t know how they are going to spin this one. It is right there plain as day and they have been caught in a huge lie.
Both the ATF and the Obama administration have not only openly deceived the American People but they have illegal violated American’s 2nd Amendment rights. The fallout of this has the potential to be huge considering the overwhelming bi-partisan support from both chambers rallying against this ban.
The next few days will be interesting to see how the ATF and the White House responds in light of these new allegations. Keep in mind that just because this has already been printed in the latest guide, that does not mean that Congress cannot change the policy.
Other implications that are now in play because of this deception is the proposal to outright disband the ATF. If the ATF has severely and illegally overstepped their authority on this matter, which it looks like it has, the movement to disband them will get a huge boost.
