A North Carolina Pastor Refuses To Let His Congregation Be Victimized

A pastor at a local church plans to take 10 parishioners and turn them into trained security guards. NBC Charlotte’s Xavier Walton spoke with the pastor who’s church was targeted by a gunman back in 2002.
On Wednesday Rev. Clark told NBC Charlotte about his near death experience back in 2002. He had been held at gunpoint and taken hostage.
Now more than a decade later, he plans to arm some of his own congregation with firearms.
“It’s putting a plan in action that we interface with our local law enforcement,” said Rev. Clark.
Reverend Clark had a near death experience where he was taken hostage and held at gunpoint. He is not going to let that happen again, to him or his congregation. The church right now is covered in security measures, it has surveillance cameras and a system that has to buzz you through the doors, however he thinks that might not be enough…
He believes that criminals take advantage of those that are not prepared. In his own hometown two men were arrested for bringing guns into a church, and it wasn’t that far away that the 9 people were shot and killed in a church in downtown Charleston. He is motivated to have a plan of action if something were to ever happen.
The Pastor set up a meeting with local law enforcement to train and license 10 members of his church in the end of August or early September.
This pastor sounds like our kind of guy, and our kind of church. Always be armed and prepared for defensive gun use, you never know! He’s like a modern-day David from the Bible, telling his his men, “Every man strap on his sword!” (1 Samuel 25:13). Only with a more upgraded weapon, and in a battle against criminals and mass shooters.
I agree with this Pastor, I think God gave us a brain, and would be happy to know we are protecting ourselves and others in case of emergency. Life is a gift from God, we all agree that in this day and age it needs to be protected. We live in a country that encourages this, as long as we continue to exercise our right to the Second Amendment.
