For Anti-Gun Group, When Logic Doesn’t Make Sense – Just Keep Lying

Anti-Gun Group Openly Lies To Forward Agenda

CSGV-Boston-Bomber-Gun

As you can see from the picture above, this image is taken from a Facebook post by the rabid anti-gun group CSGV or Coalition To Stop Gun Violence.

The double-speak from this post with accompanying picture speaks volumes about the lack of understanding this group and it’s followers have about gun laws. Or, more likely, it is a blatant attempt to ignore the truth and hope none of their sheepish followers are bright enough to notice (which they weren’t).

The point of this post from the CSGV perspective is to further champion background checks by pointing out that the Boston Marathon bombers were able to obtain guns to use in their terrorist attack. CSGV wants people to believe that if we had better background checks in place, then the two bombers would not have been able to acquire guns.

However, as the image clearly states, the gun was initially purchased by a Straw Man! This means that a person with a clean record, legally able to purchase a gun does so, then sells it to someone who would fail a background check. Which is exactly what happened here.

Straw purchases are a very serious crime, and laws are in place as a secondary method to prevent people who shouldn’t have guns from getting them.

Adding additional background checks to this process would not have prevented the bombers from getting their hands on the guns! They knew well enough that they would not be able to get guns, so they purchased them through illegal means!

All the background checks in the world are not going to stop a criminal from obtaining a gun illegally. It’s so simple, that it is hard to fathom whether or not these people are truly as dense as they seem or if they are just trolling us.

The saddest part is, the truth is in plain sight here yet they continue to perpetuate a lie knowing that their followers will never question the information, but rather continue to perpetuate the lies themselves.

However, when truth is not in your side, lying is really all these people have left.

Well besides the fact that the guns were purchased by a straw buyer who’s to say that even with a ‘universal’ background check in place people won’t bother? Why does a right cost money? Every state i have lived in charges for the background check for firearms purchases. Until it is free to do a background check a lot of people are just going to ignore the law in the case of a private transfer.

The fact that they didn’t follow standing law makes enacting a stricter law to replace it entirely pointless.

Defaming the shooting range was a low blow. I hope Manchester Firing Line sues them for libel.

I’m simply flummoxed by the idea that Britain and it’s commonwealths are pointed as an example !!! They prove themselves more violent than most peoples by never having firearm usage in homicide in 100 years at more than 25 percent and all they did was lower gun usage and raise other methods.
As for straw buyers, it’s done by thieving ID to adjust!
