Supreme Court Rulings Encourage Obama For Gun Control Push
Last week was a good week for President Obama, and he is hoping to capitalize on his wave of major victories.
First came the SCOTUS ruling that his beloved failure of a program ObamaCare would remain as is, despite wording in the law which would have dismantled the health care program for many states.
The bigger win, however, came just the very next day when SCOTUS once again ruled in favor of another Obama cause; gay marriage.
Two major victories in a row had Obama as excited as a fat kid in a candy shop; and he could not contain his excitement.
He took to Twitter to exclaim how much he loved winning, and then later that night he rubbed his victory in the face of the opposition by lighting up the White House in rainbow colors.
With these two new successes under his belt, Obama saw his approval rating reach 50% for the first time in a long time.
When you’re hot you’re hot right? Why stop at just two victories?
On Sunday Obama sent out an email to his loyal minions and asked for activists to help him enact new Gun Control laws.
He took advantage of the recent tragedy in South Carolina, because you never let a good tragedy go to waste, and declared that it is no longer enough to just be sympathetic to these kinds of incidents.
The email went on to challenge his supporters to ask themselves what more they can do as individuals and communities to prevent guns from getting into the hands of dangerous individuals.
He then went on to cite Washington and Oregon as two states where activists have made progress by getting tougher restrictions on gun purchases, and stronger background checks.
Finally, to wrap it all up, he asked his lemmings to join up with his activist group, the OFA.
He invited them to join a website where no doubt they will sign up to get instructions on how to usurp the 2nd amendment in their own home states and on also on the federal level.
If somehow he can manage to make enough fuss to get SCOTUS to hear a gun rights case, he must figure that a third victory is all but guaranteed when you have the bench stacked in your favor.

Friend —
We’ve had to come together as a nation too many times to mourn after horrific acts of gun violence. And right now, it’s not good enough simply to show sympathy.
We need to acknowledge that there’s more work to do — that these tragedies have become far too commonplace. This is a conversation that folks need to have, and organizers like you are the ones who will move it forward.
People across the country are stepping up, and OFA supporters and volunteers are working to prevent gun violence state by state and city by city — join their fight today. As we take the time to heal in the shadow of this most recent tragedy, we have to ask ourselves what more we can do as individuals and communities to prevent guns from getting into the hands of dangerous individuals.
The lack of movement in Congress on this issue is incredibly frustrating. But their refusal to act won’t stop progress. Because of organizers like you, states like Washington and Oregon have introduced successful restrictions on gun purchases, like common-sense background checks.
No single reform will eliminate violence. But we can’t give up, or act like this is some kind of new normal. We have to make progress where we can, and OFA and other groups have a real path forward.
There’s much more to do — so join OFA in working for it:

I’m not giving up, and I hope you won’t either. Every voice is important.
Thank you,
Barack Obama
