Two brazen punks, one carrying a revolver, burst through the door of a Lawndale pizzeria last night, their sights set on the register and its contents.
Police said Friday the one armed robber’s weapon was a blank gun loaded with blanks.
I want to start off by saying it’s a good thing the robber was using blanks. Otherwise, who knows if the detective would have come out unscathed?
That being said, this criminal was far from being the sharpest tool in the shed. A plastic spork would have been more useful than a gun filled with blanks.
The robber also had the worst luck. He and his partner walked into the pizzeria at 11:30pm and the only customer there happened to be an off-duty detective.
After stealing $20 from the detective the criminals turned their attention to the cash register, at this point the off-duty detective pulled his gun and killed the man with the gun.
The accomplice escaped, although I’m surprised he didn’t first try to take out the detective with a Nerf gun.
