Greenleaf Idaho Should Be An Example For Our Entire Nation
GREENLEAF, ID – In addition to the Confederate Flag controversy, the Emmanuel Church massacre also brought about the debate over gun control again with a new furry. And a small Canyon County town is taking a very public stance on guns. Greenleaf city leaders are rolling out signs that warn visitors, “This is not a gun free zone.”
I love it when people get together and make a statement, the statement Greenleaf is making here is one that should be made all across this country. That statement is “We Will Not Be Victimized” and Greenleaf is making it loud and clear. This is not a gun free zone speaks volumes, that simple statement let’s criminals know that if they want to hold up a gas station for example they’ve simply chosen the wrong town.
The statement that “this is not a gun free zone” is strong, clear and concise, we see in the article linked here that even attempts at altering the message to “this is a murder free zone” has officials banning such action in fear that this blatant statement will do nothing more than welcome violent perpetrators. It makes the statement that “there is no one here to stop you”. Defensive gun use is a real thing that happens thousands of times a day in the United States alone and when criminals know that they may, and likely will be me with armed resistance the entire game changes.
