According to my quick research, unless in possession of a concealed handgun license, a person MUST carry the firearm in plain sight within the car. So I think the criticism of how she was transporting the firearm is off-base.

Allowing someone to approach and reach into her car, yes that should be addressed. But let’s not castigate someone for following the law. Maybe focus on the need to change the law instead.
