Woman escort refuses to comply with assailant and shoots him with his own gun, “kill kit” found in his trunk
“He pulled a gun on me! He was going to kill me!”
Those are the chilling words caught in the background of a 911 call placed earlier this month after a woman faced off with an attacker who tried to rape her, pointing a 9 mm gun to her chest.
The victim, who is being called “Heather” by investigators, fought back so hard, police in Charleston, West Virginia said, that her attacker — who police now believe may be linked to other crimes — lost control of his gun.
Heather grabbed the weapon and blindly fired it, killing 45-year-old Neal Falls in self-defense, police said.
Here’s yet another case where fighting back was successful. This woman listed herself as an escort on backpage.com, a site for people looking for escorts, and when she met with her client, Neal Falls, he quickly turned violent.
Neal Falls had his gun in his pocket and told the woman to be quiet and he would call the orders, and then he started to strangle her.
“When he strangled me, he just wouldn’t let me get any air and I grabbed my rake and when he laid the gun down to get the rake out of my hands I shot him,” she said. “I just grabbed the gun and shot behind me.”
She said she immediately knew his intentions to kill her because he told her he was going to jail for a long time, and everything he was doing and saying was very comfortable and felt repetitively rehearsed.
She then ran for help and police arrived to find Neal Falls dead from the gunshot. Police searched Fall’s Subaru and instantly recognized the “kill kit” in his trunk; bleach, duct tape, shovels, knives, handcuffs, garbage bags, etc…
In 2005, Falls lived in Las Vegas, the same year four women who were working as escorts in the area disappeared. Their dismembered bodies were later discovered in Illinois.
Police think Falls had a history of killing, they found a list of escorts names and ages in his car, and when he lived in Las Vegas four women working as escorts in the area disappeared. Investigators are still looking into DNA and evidence.
This woman stopped other deaths potentially. She fought hard and saved not only her life but the other women this man had on his list.
She could have just complied and hoped this man would let her live, but once again like so many other smart survivors, she refused to let this man take her life in his hands.
Who is going to stop criminals, serial killers, murderers, rapists? We are, by standing up and refusing to be a victim like this woman.
