Man Uses Sword for Killing Spree at School Before Being Gunned Down by Armed Man

Masked man invades school and kills two with sword before being shot down

A school in Sweden plunged into chaos and tragedy this morning when a man entered the school and began attacking staff and students with a sword. He killed two and was continuing his rampage until he was shot down by a police officer. Two teenage students and a teacher are in the hospital in serious condition.

King Carl Gustav said in a statement that he had learned of the events in Trollhattan “with great dismay and sorrow”. Sweden’s Prime Minister Stefan Lofven has arrived in the town, and said it was a “black day for Sweden”.

“I think of the victims and their families, students and staff, and the whole of the affected community. No words can describe what they are going through right now. We must ensure that they receive all the support they need,” he said.

School attacks are rare in Sweden – with just one incident on record in the past 20 years, in which one pupil was shot dead.

It is extremely tragic, these attacks are so shocking and terrifying. How fortunate the police officer got there and stopped any further deaths or injuries. With a gun. Wait–there are good people with guns?

2 holster comboThis should immediately start a hysteria on banning everything sharp that could be used in a similar situation, right? That is the logic of many gun-control supporters. They problem is, they are being distracted and deceived by focusing on the wrong issue. Guns don’t just jump up and run around and murder people, the same goes with swords, cars, knives… There has to be someone using the object to commit murder or violence. Its pathetic that even had to be said.

The truth is, murder and violence has been happening since the first humans existed. Our problem is absolutely not with the objects, it’s with the people that use objects to victimize others. Many gun control advocates say the world would be a better place if we could just snap our fingers and make all the guns disappear. What they don’t understand is that violence and murder have been happening forever, and taking away guns from everyone would only further render innocent people defenseless.

People who normally would be victimized by a person with evil intentions or superior strength and size are protected by the gun. The playing field is evened out. Lives are saved and crime is deterred every day with guns.

The proof is in the many other countries that have fell victim to the deception that removing guns would stop violence and criminal activity. Take for example, this statement by the Harvard Journal of Law.

“Despite the very strict ban on guns in the UK, the overall rate of violent crime in the UK is about 4 times higher than it is in the United States. In one recent year, there were 2,034 violent crimes per 100,000 people in the UK. In the United States, there were only 466 violent crimes per 100,000 people during that same year. The UK has approximately 125 percent more rape victims per 100,000 people each year than the United States does. The UK has approximately 133 percent more assault victims per 100,000 people each year than the United States does. UK has the fourth highest burglary rate in the EU. The UK has the second highest overall crime rate in the EU.”

“Down in Australia, gun murders increased by about 19 percent and armed robberies increased by about 69 percent after a gun ban was instituted.”

I don’t even have to describe what happened during Hitler’s regime, the controlling of a country by a tyrannic government is tragically easier once the citizens have been disarmed. We cannot allow this to happen to America. Our Second Amendment is vital, and we must fight to keep it from being infringed.

Murderers and criminals will always exist, not depending on the types of weapons available. Americans have the right to protect themselves due to the blood, sweat and tears of our Founding Fathers. We can’t ever let this be taken away: continue fighting the battle for our right to the Second Amendment.
