California Law Allowing Gun Confiscation Starts Tomorrow

Many are aware now of the huge infringement that will go into effect tomorrow

CAconfiscation

The first of January brings some scary changes for the Golden state. Via the Washington Times.

Gun control legislation going into effect in California next week will allow authorities to seize a person’s weapons for 21 days if a judge determines there is potential for violence.

Proposed in the wake of a deadly May 2014 shooting rampage by Elliot Rodger, the bill provides family members with a means of having an emergency “gun violence restraining order” imposed against a loved one if they can convince a judge that this person’s possession of a firearm “poses an immediate and present danger of causing personal injury to himself, herself or another by having in his or her custody or control.”

“The law gives us a vehicle to cause the person to surrender their weapons, to have a time out, if you will,” Los Angeles Police Department Assistant Chief Michael Moore told a local NPR affiliate. “It allows further examination of the person’s mental state.”

“We don’t need another law to solve this problem,” Sam Paredes, executive director of Gun Owners of California, told The Associated Press. “We think this just misses the mark and may create a situation where law-abiding gun owners are put in jeopardy.”

I don’t think these lawmakers truly understand the complications and side effects that will come from this law. What sounds like possible good intentions is an outright violation and infringement on the rights of Americans.

cloak tuck 3.0This also could be the beginning of even more confiscations or laws that are direct violations on the constitution. What a flagrant disregard for the Second Amendment.

This is exactly what we need to be keeping our eyes open for and exactly what we need to be fighting.

I’m sure over the next few years California will continue to be a small-scale example of what America could look like with extreme gun control. And it’s not going to be pretty folks.

  1. The Feds are going after law abiding disabled veterans first nase ed on the VA is per Obama required to report private medical and medication use of veterans to the FBI.
CA is probably using police records of those that were taken to mental health care facilities.
Again, the are people who have c omitted NO crimes, but have undergone evaluation.
This is a shameless gun grab of those that are easy targets, as they peal away at our Second Amendment rights., and we need Congress to enforce our US Constitution against tyranny.
