HOUSTON – Two people were found shot to death in an attempted armed robbery in the parking lot of an ice cream parlor, according to Houston Police. The individuals were found in the parking lot of La Real Michoacana, located at 200 Aldine Bender road in north Houston.

The male victim has been identified as 26 year old Erasmo Alaniz. He was pronounced dead at the scene. The identity of the suspect, who also died at the scene, it pending notification of family members.

In this horrible turn of events a father acting to protect his family ends up dead along with the suspect who entered the victims vehicle which was occupied by the Alaniz, his wife (Deana Precella), and their two year old daughter as they parked in the parking lot of the ice cream parlor. The suspect pulled a gun and pointed it at Deana saying “give me everything you have”. Alaniz and the suspect then began to struggle inside the car and Deana was able to escape out her door but the couples two year old daughter was still inside the vehicle. The gun fight then began and both the victim and the suspect were left dead, while the daughter was not injured in the exchange.

cloak tuck 3.0While the family is completely devastated his wife and friends are hailing him as the hero in this shooting. I would much rather be reporting on this shooting telling you that the only casualty in this gun fight was the suspect himself but unfortunately that is not the case. This article makes you really step back and think about how you would handle the situation. While there is no doubt in my mind that all concealed carriers would have done whatever it takes to defend their loved ones, proper training will help not only save your families life, but also yours.

The victim should have went along with what the suspect was wanting, chances are the suspect would have took the money and started to exit then the victim could have shot him then, in texas you can get away with it, but not here in Indiana, the laws protect the criminals, not the victims!
