Chicken Express, located at 2 Warnock Springs Rd in Magnolia, Arkansas, is offering a free meal to people who present a concealed handgun license at their location on July 4th, 2015.   From facebook.com:

On Saturday July 4th we will be giving a FREE #1 combo to anyone with a Conceal Handgun License.
This will be DINE IN ONLY.

You must have your License with you! We hope everyone has a happy and safe 4th of July!

Our Take:

Have you ever wondered what freedom tastes like? Chicken. Fried chicken. The fine people at Chicken Express in Magnolia, Arkansas, have supported our Second Amendment right with this simple gesture. As the Fourth of July draws nearer, it’s cool to see such a patriotic and pro-gun statement from one of our country’s fine establishments.

Chicken Express chose to commemorate the Fourth of July with a free meal to concealed carriers. Not only will this make Chicken Express the safest restaurant in the continental United States, but it will also give p
ermit holders a chance to feel appreciated. Too often are we given confused, misunderstood looks from those who do not carry.

Hopefully more pro-gun signs find their way onto the doors of American establishments. Better yet, replace the “Gun Free Zone” signs in the process!

Chicken Express has expressed their support through the offering of free chicken to concealed carriers, and hopefully others will on a day like the Fourth of July.

Through their kind offering, their business will prosper and permit holders will get a taste of golden-fried freedom chicken.

Kind of defeats the purpose of “concealed carry” though to those around you> not that anyone would be stupid enough to try anything, but one would wager if you have a license you are Identifying that you have a gun on you. I’m so incredibly torn by this. Perhaps some chicken will help me feel better. I suppose though it’s more about the support than the concealed part.

they want to see the license not the gun

where there’s smoke, there tends to be fire. That’s what i’m getting at. If i show you the license to carry a gun, i’m more or less outing myself on the probability that I currently am armed. Like i said, it’s not a big deal, but why do something like this? Just to promote concealed carry? why not promote all carry?

they obviously want to promote responsible gun owners and support our rights to keep and bear arms. I also assume they feel rather safe on concealed carry night. Criminals are looking for sheep and easy prey. no one goes out to commit a robbery and looks for armed victims.
