The Bloodbath In Chicago Continues

3 Dead, 21 Wounded In Weekend Shootings

Bloodbath continues in Chicago

That pushed the city homicide total for 2015 to at least 213 and the shooting total to at least 1,255, according to a Chicago Tribune database of city shootings. Both of those surpass yearly totals for similar time spans in 2013 and 2014, according to an analysis of that database.

Looking at the beautiful shot above you would no think that Chicago had become a real life Gotham City, but that is exactly what it has become. The numbers are overwhelming and chilling at the same time. We may all be asking ourselves why, and though the entire answer to that question is beyond me and beyond one article, taking an honest look at the last state to fall in line when it comes to issuing permits will help to clear this up.

CCW

When we look at Chicago’s numbers on concealed carry when can get a glimpse into the answers. The numbers are definitely moving in the right direction but when you look at the specifics the picture is still pretty grim. There are over 5 million people in Cook County and even though that is the county with the highest number of concealed carry permits issued that number is still just under 24,000. What this means is that less than .5% of citizens are armed and prepared to defend themselves. Now when you take into consideration that Chicago is one of the bloodiest cities in our country having .5% of its citizens prepared to defend themselves just isn’t enough.

So the time is now Chicago, take a gun class, get your CCW permit and begin not only defending yourselves but also the defenseless citizens around you. The alternative to this is continuing to let thugs run your city and your lives.
