Police: Victim Turns Gun On Armed Robber
MIAMI (CBSMiami) – Miami-Dade Police said a robber held up a person at gunpoint, but it was the thief who landed in the hospital.
According to authorities, an armed man approached a person at 2325 NW 65 Street. The victim took off running on foot and the thief reportedly opened fire.
The person being shot at allegedly returned fire, hitting the robber several times.
The armed thief was taken to the Ryder Trauma Center and was listed in stable condition.
Police said the victim was okay.
Ahhhhhh. There’s nothing like drinking a fresh cup of coffee and reading about a defensive gun story in the morning. It’s a great start to any day. This victim, who later became the victor, actually tried to run from the attacker before returning fire. He gave this criminal a chance to keep his life.
Then it happened. Shots were exchanged, and our carrier triumphed over adversity.
Our guy did well to access the situation. His gun became his main line of defense. Like many stories we feature, the open or concealed gun owner needed to act in that very moment. He needed to defend himself within seconds, which is reason enough to carry. As a result, our carrier is still breathing.
It looks like the armed aggressor found a spot in Ryder Trauma Center for his idiotic actions. He’s lucky he didn’t end up in a morgue drawer.
