According to the PanAm Post, “Public Safety Minister Rodolfo Aguilera said the country will follow in the footsteps of the United States and Switzerland, where the right to bear arms is believed to lead to fewer homicides.”

“Everything seems to indicate that there is no direct correlation in the aphorism that says more guns mean more crime,” said Mr. Aguilera, who cited the 20-year decline in the homicide rate in the U.S. as gun laws have simultaneously been relaxed.

This is a great move on the part of Panama, they have seen the numbers and know that the truth is more guns=less crime. Criminals are not nearly as likely to commit violent crime when they know or even think they will be met with armed resistance. The failing gun control policies in America absolutely speak for themselves, Chicago for example has some of the worst gun laws in the country and they see some of the worst gun violence in the world.

cloak tuck 3.0This comes down to the fact that criminals just don’t use normal channels to obtain guns, they get them illegally and therefore the only people being affected by gun control are law abiding citizens. The numbers quickly started to change in Chicago after they started issuing permits in 2014 but now they have started denying large numbers of permits and then you see the rise in gun violence again because the criminals know the permits again slowed.

Ultimately other countries following suit like Panama has will lead to more accurate data on this topic in coming years as they do not have a gun control agenda which enlists the vast majority of the mainstream news to spread lies and partial truths in an effort to move to disarming their citizens.
