I never heard him say anything, but just he had that kind of Southern pride, I guess some would say. Strong conservative beliefs,” John Mullins, who went to school with Roof, told The Daily Beast. “He made a lot of racist jokes, but you don’t really take them seriously like that. You don’t really think of it like that.

Atrocious acts like this just cannot be understood by a moral mind.

There’s no logical explanation for what Dylann Storm Roof did to those poor, innocent victims inside the Emanuel African Methodist Episcopal Church in Charleston, South Carolina last night. But yet, just hours after the shooting, some news sources think they’ve got an answer to why this massacre happened: A lack of gun control.

Bullshit.

Lets look past the liberal anti-gun hogwash and see the truth of the matter: monsters like Dylann Storm Roof target gun-free zones, and this isn’t the first time. As time goes on, this list of massacres that happen in gun-free zones continues to grow. Virginia Tech. Sandy Hook. Aurora, Colorado. Now the Emanuel African Methodist Episcopal Church joins the ranks of these unfortunate places.

Lone gunmen like this 21-year-old introvert are cowards. They seek locations with vulnerable, unarmed victims. They know they will be met unopposed in gun-free zones; simple as that.

According to Reuters.com, Dylann scoped out the Columbiana Centre shopping mall as a potential location for his heinous act before choosing to target the church. It comes as no surprise that this location was also a gun-free zone. Their policy clearly states that they’re a gun-free mall.

When governmental powers tighten their hold on guns, law-abiding citizens are the hardest hit.

We, the law-abiding citizens, are the ones that are hurt by restrictive gun policy-not psychopaths like Dylann Storm Roof.

The less gun-free zones, the safer we are as a society.

If there’s a chance open and concealed carriers are within the vicinity, people like Dylann will think twice before opening fire. A sign mounted on the outside of a building will do nothing to deter acts of inhumanity like this, but defensive gun use will.
