Wanted man: Police job offers pour in for NJ man pardoned by Gov. Christie

His dreams of becoming a police officer were dashed when an arrest two years ago for carrying a legally owned firearm made him a convicted felon, but now that he’s been pardoned, Steffon Josey-Davis is fielding job offers from around the country.

If you’re not familiar with the story the quick and dirty of it is this: Josey-Davis was legally carrying a firearm but was charged anyways, he was then offered a plea deal in the face of potentially 10 years in jail.  The plea deal resulted in a felony and his right to carry taken away.

It’s unfortunate this aspiring young man was ever put into the position that he was, but the highly criticized Chris Christie has righted a wrong in the best way.

Gov. Christie has pardoned Josey-Davis in full, meaning there is nothing stopping the young man from becoming a police officer.  He’s actually been offered jobs from Police forces around the country now that he’s been pardoned.

Stories like this show how abusive gun control can become, and why we should be trying our best to make sure Constitutional rights are restored everywhere.
