An elderly woman took hold of a firearm to scare off two men who entered her Big Sur home and attempted to rape her on Sunday, according to the Monterey County Sheriff’s Office.

Around 9 p.m. Sunday, deputies responded to a report of an attempted home invasion in the 37000 block of Garrapatos Road, about 2 miles east of state Highway 1, sheriff’s officials said.

Two men armed with knives entered the home and made their way into a bedroom, where they tried to rob and rape an elderly woman, according to sheriff’s officials. The woman was able to defend herself with a firearm, sheriff’s officials said.

The men are still wanted, and are described as Hispanic and in their mid 20s standing between 5 feet 4 and 5 feet 2 inches. One is more heavyset and the other is slightly thinner.

So this little old lady who lived alone was sleeping in her bedroom when these two cowards broke in her home, and thought they would get a helpless little grandma who they could rape and rob.

How disgusting and incredibly cruel, who looks at a little old lady and sees a perfect victim for your schemes. These men must have been a little out of their minds to be this heartless, but these kind of men are who we call criminals. They don’t think like normal people, it’s all about them and there’s no boundaries to how far they go to get what they want.

This is why this little lady did the right thing, she had a gun in her nightstand and protected herself from pain, robbery and violence. By arming herself and using defensive gun use she refused to be victim. It’s just too bad she didn’t shoot the creeps in their netherlands!

We can all definitely take a clue and learn from our elders. I know I did and I don’t regret it one bit. And I definitely agree, she should have shot them where they stood. They’ll get their nerve back up and go out again and probably with a much more serious conclusion.
